How To Play

 

You must be 21-years-old or older and a NTRA Inside Track member to enter this contest.

 
“Play Along With the Pros Challenge” will take place on Saturday, January 28, which is the second and final day of the Daily Racing Form/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC) at Treasure Island Las Vegas. Contestants must make mythical $2 win and place wagers on eight designated mandatory races. The eight races selected will be same as those for mandatory play on Day 2 at the NHC.
 
The top five (5) Players amassing the highest number of points based on the Players' earnings (i.e. the highest final bankroll) from all $2 Win and Place wagers at the end of the Contest will be declared the "Grand Prize Winners."

GRAND PRIZES:  
 

The individual finishing with the highest point total (i.e., mythical bankroll) at the conclusion of the Contest will receive $500 and a free NHC Tour membership for 2012. The following will be the prize structure for second through fifth:

2nd: $200, plus 2012 NTRA Tour membership


3rd:  $150, plus 2012 NTRA Tour membership


4th: $100, plus 2012 NTRA Tour membership


5th: $50, plus 2012 NTRA Tour membership


The top twenty (20) participants, as ranked by total bankroll accumulated, will receive a free membership in the 2012 NHC Tour.  Prize money will be deposited directly into winner’s DRF Bets wagering account.  If winner is not a DRF Bets member and lives in a qualified wagering state, winner has option to open a DRF Bets account with prize money placed into account.  Winner can also choose to have prize money received via check. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

 
Before you can play the Play Along With The Pros Challenge - January 28, 2012, you'll need to establish a NTRA Inside Track membership.
 
If you already have a NTRA Inside Track membership, use your NTRA Inside Track username and password to login to the contest. If you've forgotten your username or password, click the "Forgot Username/Password?" link on the contest login page and that information will be e-mailed to you.
 
IMPORTANT: Limit of one registration/entry per person. Users may enter only once per person, per valid e-mail address. All entries submitted with duplicate e-mail addresses will be voided, as will multiple entries submitted under the same name but with multiple e-mail addresses. Email address must be valid from time of entry through completion of the contest or the entry will be voided.

2. Login to the contest site and make your selections
 
You will make one horse selection per the designated races. Mythical $2 Win/Place wagers ($2 to Win and $2 to Place) will be made on the horse that you select in each race. You will not be able to designate different horses for the individual Win and Place wagers. If your horse wins, you collect on both the Win and Place wagers. If he finishes second, you collect on only the Place wager. All wagers and payouts from races are mythical and will be used as a score only.
 
IMPORTANT: Selections must be placed no later than ONE MINUTE prior to the contest's listed post times for each race. Post times WILL NOT be adjusted due to track delays.
 
SCRATCHES: In the event of a scratch, and selected horses that have scratched will be replaced with the post-time favorite for that race.
 
3. Check your score after racing is complete
 
You will accrue winnings in dollar form ($X.XX) as your horses compete over the course of the contest. An unofficial leaderboard will be published as the day progresses, but will not be made official until the results have been audited. This process can take up to 48 hours to complete.
